Do you enjoy a classic Greek tragedy? There is one playing out right now in the White House.

In Greek tragedy, the tragic hero always has a flaw that angers the gods and brings about his downfall.

Recently Donald Trump said, “I, in my great and unmatched wisdom,” will know what to do in the Middle East.

Surely the gods were angered by his unbridled arrogance. This is his fatal flaw. It is a pride that violates the bounds set for humans, and is always punished by the gods.

Things never end well for the tragic hero.

This is a timeless pattern.

Enjoy the play.
